Experience :
He is an engineer in Biological Engineering from the University of Technology of Compiègne and conducts research on the modelling of adaptations to training and exercise physiology. Under the supervision of Jean-René Lacour, he obtained his doctorate in 1991 and his Habilitation to Supervise Research in 1995 at the University of Saint-Etienne. After a post-doctoral stay in the team of Peter Robbins at the University of Oxford, he taught applied physiology to sport sciences at the STAPS Department in Saint-Etienne. He was head of the STAPS Department until the start of the 2001 academic year and is responsible for the degrees. He is the co-leader of the project to create the Interuniversity Laboratory of Motor Biology in 2016, which he will manage until 2020.
